At Sunset Lawn Cemetery, we take pride in our meticulous approach to exhumation and grave setup. In April 2025, our dedicated team undertook man exhumation process. On Day 1, we carefully screen off the work area to ensure privacy for families. Day 2 involves marking the grave area and using our backhoe to gently excavate, with dirt being placed on the truck tray for proper disposal. Our focus is on maintaining respect and dignity throughout this process. For grave setup, we prepare 1-2 days prior to the funeral service, utilising our backhoe and tip truck for efficiency. On Day 2, we will spend 4 hours preparing the grave stands for the coffin lowering device, ensuring everything is in place. Soil will be set aside for families to fill in the grave, and we will create a comfortable environment by setting up shades and chairs. Finally, we will tidy the area by backblading and raking, leaving a serene space for reflection.
